San Diego general contractor and construction
manager Barnhart, Inc. was commended by the
national Associated General Contractors for
its excellent safety record.
Barnhart,
Inc. received an award for a zero incidence rate in the construction
manager category for companies with 50,000 or more work hours.
The construction manager was commended for having and incidence
rate at least 25 percent below the industry average of 1.25.
Barnhart also received commendations for having an incidence
rate at least 25 percent below the building division average
incidence rate of 1.86.
The awards
were given by the National AGC Safety Awards Program. The
program has 3,000 national members and enables members to
compare their safety records against national averages for
companies of similar type and size. To receive awards, companies
must either achieve a zero incidence rate over three years,
or a rate 25 percent below that of the division average.
