CEO Doug Barnhart takes oath as Chairman of Qualcomm Stadium Advisory Board

Local contractor and construction managers Barnhart, Inc. announces that CEO Doug Barnhart was sworn in as Chairman of the Qualcomm Stadium Advisory Board.

At a luncheon last month, Barnhart and other board members were sworn into positions by San Diego City Attorney Casey Gwinn. Other members reappointed include Simon Coleman, Harold Lewis, Karen McElliot, and John Wertz. The term will last until 2006. There are nine members total.

The Qualcomm Stadium Advisory Board is appointed by the Mayor of San Diego and serves to advise they Mayor, City Council and City Manager on matters relating to the operations of the stadium.

Mr. Barnhart includes the Qualcomm Stadium Advisory Board on a long list of community service activities, including involvement in the San Diego International Sports Council Board of Directors, Associated General Contractors of America Executive Committee, Black Contractors Association Advisory Board, Society of Military Engineers, Director's Cabinet member of the SDSU Athletics Association, and was a past board member of the Regional San Diego Chamber of Commerce and a former chairman of the California Contractors State License Board.
